A Simple Christmas Tablescape

Decorating for Christmas doesn't have to cost a lot and it certainly doesn't have to be over the top. For me it's important to bring in pieces that are versatile for multiple seasons so I can get more bang for my buck. A couple years ago I bought the red chevron burlap table runner ($18) and have been able to use it for fall, Christmas, and even Valentine's Day (if I wanted). The white milk glass vases were $1 each from the thrift store and they are able to be used all year around. This Christmas I used some of the clippings from the Christmas tree in the vases. It adds some greenery and a lovely scent.   The white...

Barnyard Themed First Birthday Party

You will receive an ample amount of advice during your lifetime and through parenthood. The one piece of advice that runs through my head as a constant is that their childhood goes by in the blink of an eye. One day you are cradling your newborn and sitting by the bassinet just waiting for them to open their precious eyes. The next minute you are watching them crawl and standing for the very first time. Then he is crawling around the house, giggling and yelling mama! Barnyard Dessert Table We are constantly wondering when they will take their next steps, what they will be when they grow up, and what friends they will have. I have learned...

Oh Christmas Tree

Is anyone as behind in holiday decorating as I am? I feel like I've been playing catch up ever since Thanksgiving ended. I finally had a chance to finish up my Christmas tree, just in time for those of you who are still looking for inspiration. I've been obsessed with ribbon wrapped trees this year, so I thought I'd switch it up and add some fun accents and textures to my Christmas tree! I ordered this amazing tree from Wayfair and fell in love with it. It was on sale for only $150 and it came prelit and frosted (which made my life so much easier).  I chose a slender tree to take up less space in our apartment. I found almost...

Raise your hand if you are in "full Christmas mode" like me! Now that Thanksgiving has passed, it definitely puts the holiday pressure on. Most of these days I find myself looking at the clock at 9:00 pm wondering where the entire day went. In comes these super cute Hefty Holiday Printables!   They are a fun way to add a little pizazz to your storage bag food gifts this holiday season. DIY Trendy Christmas Gifts/Tassel Necklaces

I love making jewelry, and I usually make a few Christmas gifts for my close female friends and family. This year I decided to try my hand at making tassel necklaces. I've been seeing tassels on everything and all over the fashion blogs. I have been making jewelry for several years, but I think with some basic beading/jewelry making skills you can make your own! I will walk you through the steps I do to make these necklaces. I used either embroidery floss or leather cord. (my pictures show the process with the embroidery floss but the process is essentially the same for the leather cord) Remove label and open the floss, keeping...
